Monday, Apr.17, 2023 – Trading Journal
9:30-9:45am: Started the day buying PYPL Calls locked +40% gains in few minutes. Also scalped IWM Calls for +70% gains and AMD Calls closed flat. Also
9:45am-10am: Scalped shorts on AMZN but both stalled and closed way too soon as stock went all the wat down.
After 10:00am: I was all over the place… stops got hit, trades no follow through and had some papercuts. I tried to keep stops tight but gave back some profits from earlier by assuming some losses.
End of Day emotions: It was a slow choppy messy day. First 15-20min on day, were actually great with PYPL and IWM trades but after that, the slow choppy action cost me some money. It’s ok as I respected my risk management and cut those trades fast. But it was a very exhaustion day with not much happening either up or down and options premium got pretty much killed. I know that not every day will be a blast as we had last week, so putting it into perspective, it has been a great month, so I’m very happy. Need to keep my focus and repeat the process over and over again!
