Wednesday, May.24, 2023 – Trading Options – Daily Journal

 

9:30am-10:00am: Started day right at 9:30am buying NFLX Calls and locked +120% gains. Scalped some SPY and AMZN but closed for small PnL.

9:30AM – NFLX May 26 $372.5 Calls from 1.05 to 2.35 for 1288$ PnL*
9:33AM – SPY May 24 $412 Calls from 1.25 to 1.22 for -34$ PnL*
9:45AM – AMZN May 26 $116 Puts from 1.08 to 1.35 for 233$ PnL*
9:55AM – SPY May 24 $412 Calls from 0.85 to 0.75 for -135$ PnL*

 

10:00-12pm: Scalped some AMZN and AAPL PUTs fading from highs of day, but locked for small profits as not enough sell pressure. After thats scalped, IWM GOOGL and QQQ Calls, all giving nice cash flow and close last contracts as algo triggered and took my profit stops.

10:06AM – AMZN May 26 $114 Puts from 0.6 to 0.7 for 150$ PnL*
10:12AM – AAPL May 26 $170 Puts from 0.7 to 0.85 for 194$ PnL*
10:14AM – SPY May 24 $411 Calls from 1.05 to 1.15 for 88$ PnL*
10:42AM – IWM May 24 $176 Calls from 0.42 to 0.55 for 284$ PnL*
11:04AM – GOOGL May 26 $121 Calls from 1 to 1.25 for 238$ PnL*
11:12AM – QQQ May 24 $331 Calls from 0.7 to 1 for 404$ PnL*

 

End of Day PnL = +2,710$ gains

 

End of Day emotions:  Overall, it was a great start on day with NFLX Calls for +120% gains but after that market stalled and small PnL per trade but all together add some more cash flow into account, so I’m happy. I’m staying disciplined, not risking much and following my trading plan. Need to keep my focus and repeat the process over and over again!
