Monday, May.22, 2023 – Trading Options – Daily Journal

9:30am-10:00am: Scalped QQQ out of the gate, but buyers came in, so I closed and flipped into SPY Calls for +100% gains. At 9:51am, saw an opportunity to short the market, so scalped big positions on SPY Puts for +150% gains and QQQ Puts for +100% gains. And done!

9:30AM – QQQ May 22 $336 Puts from 0.7 to 0.75 for 54$ PnL*
9:33AM – SPY May 22 $420 Calls from 0.59 to 1.2 for 1017$ PnL*
9:44AM – QQQ May 22 $338 Puts from 1.07 to 1.15 for 62$ PnL*
9:51AM – QQQ May 22 $338 Puts from 0.78 to 1.6 for 1051$ PnL*
9:51AM – SPY May 22 $419 Puts from 0.73 to 1.85 for 1552$ PnL*

After 10:30am: I managed my stock portfolio and locked nice gains on AMD longs plus some other names for great cash flow

End of Day PnL = +3,736$ gains

End of Day emotions:  Overall, it was a great first 35min with 3 trades more than doubled, so I’m very happy. I respected my risk management on the first QQQ shorts and I loaded big when got price confirmation lowerr. I also avoided the chop so I’m really happy with today trading. With patience and never giving up, was able to follow my risk management and trading plan. Need to keep my focus and repeat the process over and over again!
